There are four primary 4D providers in Malaysia: Magnum 4D, Sports Toto, and Da Ma Cai. Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn. Bhd. is the operator of Da Ma Cai. The Government of Malaysia has recognised and approved all four of these independent private businesses. Number Forecast Operators are the name given to these 4D operators. Malaysia conducts daily 4D drawings, with some also taking place on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays in alignment with Singapore's 4D draw. On Tuesdays, there will occasionally be a special draw, though.
Magnum 4D offers the classic 4D game – the player picks a 4 digit number and chooses the amount he wants to bet. There are "Big" and "Small" Forecasts. A "Small" bet will warrant higher winnings, but the player will only win if his number comes up in the first, second or third places. The winnings are lower for a "Big" bet, but in addition to the first, second and third places, there are 10 "Special" numbers which pay RM180 for a RM1 bet, and 10 "consolation" numbers which pay RM60 for a RM1 bet.
In addition to 4D (referred to as 1+3D), Da Ma Cai (大马彩; literally, "Pan-Malaysia Lottery" in Mandarin) features a 3D game. The 3D only has first, second, and third position, in contrast to the 1+3D. With RM660 awarded for Big First place, the top prize is much less than in 1+3D. Their 1+3D is structured similarly to the Magnum 4D. Additionally, Da Ma Cai offers 3D and 1+3D Jackpot Games. Da Ma Cai Jackpot, their newest offering, debuted in January 2014 and has a minimum payout of 1.8 million for Jackpot 1.
Sports Toto offers 5D and 6D games in addition to the standard 4D games that are played in the same manner as Magnum and Da Ma Cai. 5D and 6D do not offer "Big" and "Small" Forecasts like 4D does. RM100,000 is the first reward for 6D, while RM15,000 is the first award for 5D. You still receive a reward even if the first prize number is matched by the last 4, 3, or 2 digits of your 5D number (or the final 5, 4, 3, or 2 digits of your 6D number). In addition, Sports Toto provides three lottery games that are comparable to those in the West. Mega Toto 6/52, Power Toto 6/55, and Supreme Toto 6/58 are these.
